Restaurants
Otres Beach is still the quiet, hard to get to beach, but it's started to boom this season. Otres Nautica has a restaurant and all kinds of boats for rent (you drive, sail, paddle, or captain yourself). Cantina, famous in Phnom Penh, has also opened a Mexican restaurant on the beach.

Ocean Front Bungalows, and a couple other places have a few bungalows on the beach for rent also.

This beach currently doesn't have electricity, except for places with generators, but come now if you want to avoid the 1,000 room casino resort planned on this beach in a few years.

Getting Here
You can walk about 20 minutes from Ocheteaul Beach along the ocean, or take a motorcycle in back of the "Golf Course" and back to the ocean. By car and Tuk Tuk is possible, but the route is longer. Best to get back before nighttime if you're not staying at night, as there are no lights on the road.

Sihanoukville is a pleasant resort town on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand. Victory Beach, Independence Beach, Serendipity Beach are all attractive beaches. But if you can do with just basic accommodation head to the more secluded and tranquil Occheuteal and Otres Beach for the ultimate relaxation experience. Another plus is the delicious sea food prepared by many family businesses along the coast.

Little known Otres Beach is the new kid on the block when it comes to eating and sleeping options in Sihanoukville and is a welcome addition with its seemingly endless stretch of whitish sand and calm tides.
